Money Heist (La casa de papel)

Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.

Starring:Úrsula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño

Creators:Álex Pina
The series was filmed in Madrid, Spain. Significant portions of part 3 were also filmed in Panama, Thailand and Florence, Italy. The narrative is told in a real-time-like fashion and relies on flashbacks, time-jumps, hidden character motivations and an unreliable narrator for complexity. The series subverts the heist genre by being told from the perspective of a woman (Tokyo) and having a strong Spanish identity, where emotional dynamics offset the perfect strategic crime.

The series received critical acclaim for its sophisticated plot, interpersonal dramas, direction and for trying to innovate Spanish television. The Italian anti-fascist song "Bella ciao", which plays multiple times throughout the series, became a summer hit across Europe in 2018. By 2018, the series was the most-watched non-English language series and one of the most-watched series overall on Netflix,[4] with a particular resonance coming from viewers from Mediterranean Europe and the Latin world.

Zero- an upcoming Indian romantic drama film- 2018

Zero is an upcoming 2018 Indian romantic drama film written by Himanshu Sharma and directed by Anand L. Rai. The film was jointly produced by Rai and Red Chillies Entertainment's Gauri Khan; it stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The plot follows Khan as a man with dwarfism, who falls in love with a superstar played by Kaif. Sharma portrays a woman with intellectual disability.

Initially, Salman Khan was approached for the role in 2012.The role then went to Shah Rukh Khan. His casting was confirmed in March 2016. He plays a three-four foot physically challenged man. Rai cast Khan to play the lead role because he needed a big star for the story to penetrate globally. He needed "an intelligent actor, who also can carry that happy-go-lucky attitude," according to him Khan possesses those qualities. Rai realised the difference between a six-foot saying "I love you" and a four foot. Hence he hired Khan. Khan is the fourth actor of normal stature in Indian cinema to play a little person after Kamal Haasan in Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989),Johnny Lever in Aashiq (2001) and Anupam Kher in Jaan-E-Mann (2006).

After much speculation, Rai confirmed Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif as the female lead actors in the film in June 2017. Sharma was reported to play a differently-abled person, whereas Kaif confirmed that she will portray the role of an actress. Like Sharma, Kaif was offered the role not because of her stardom but because she fit the role according to Rai. According to Kaif, she was offered the film before Khan was casted. She was initially supposed to play herself in the film, but the plot was later revised to be a satirical take on herself.

Tigmanshu Dhulia will portray Khan's father. He showed interest in the project after hearing about its heavy technical involvements. Khan refrained from signing any other film during Zero's production. The film will also have star studded guest appearances by Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Alia Bhatt, Sridevi, Karisma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla who will portray themselves. It will mark the first time in 19 years that Rani, Kajol and Khan will be sharing the same screen together since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)... More details & trailor watch on Here

Bahubali-2: The Conclusion answers Why did Kattappa kill Bahubali?

The question that haunts a cinema-frenzied nation — Why did Kattappa kill Bahubali? — may or may not have a satisfactory answer. But there are no questions whatsoever about which movie has set alight cinema screens and box office tills across the country with its record first-day collections.

It’s Bahubali-2: The Conclusion, the much-awaited Telugu sequel to the monster hit Bahubali-The Beginning.

The epic fantasy opened on Friday in over 9,000 screens nationwide, including 1,500 in just the two Telugu-speaking States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Day One collections may, by some estimates, have crossed a jaw-dropping ₹100 crore. Comparatively, the Salman Khan-starrer Sultan raked in ₹36 crore on its first day and Aamir Khan’s Dangal collected ₹29.50 crore. Even Bahubali-1, which garnered ₹60 crore on its first day, now seems an underperformer.

BookMyShow, the online ticketing platform, which saw bookings of 3.3 million tickets for Bahubali-2, said the film would breach the ₹100-crore mark on the first day. Its COO Ashish Saksena said bookings were 35 per cent higher than for Bahubali-The Beginning.

Carnival Cinema Chief Executive Officer PV Sunil pegged the first-day domestic collections alone at ₹70 crore.

Cinepolis ran 1,300 shows of the movie and Carnival Cinema in 1,314 shows across the country. Going by advance bookings, multiplexes across the country could see a full run for the next three weeks.

Premium show tickets are being sold in the US for a reported ₹2,100-2,800.

The spectacular start has had film industry analysts and stakeholders at a loss for superlatives to describe the first-day performance.

“We have never seen such a grand scale of film release in India,” said Sunil. “All morning shows are running at 100 per cent occupancy. We had shows as early as 5.30 a.m. in Bengaluru. Advance bookings were huge at 85-90 per cent and for the rest of the week it is at 70 per cent.”

PVR Chief Executive Officer Gautam Dutta estimated that the movie would have over 5 lakh admits per day over the weekend at PVR cinemas.

The two parts of Bahubali were made on a ₹450-crore budget over four years of shooting. The first part collected over ₹600 crore, and the sequel may well double the take. “The film’s producers are confident of raking in ₹1,000-1,200 crore in revenue,” a Telugu film industry source told BusinessLine.

“Bahubali has redefined how an Indian movie is made, sold and released,” said Jeevi, film analyst and who runs the film website Idlebrain.

“It is being released in 200 locations in the US and 345 screens in the Gulf countries. I’m in Dubai now, and the response has been unprecedented for an Indian movie,” he added.

“Bahubali-2 is undoubtedly the most-awaited film of the year, and it has opened with a phenomenal response from movie lovers across India,” said Devang Sampat, Director, Strategic Initiatives, Cinepolis India.

“Till 1:30 p.m., Cinepolis recorded all-India occupancy of 70 per cent, while in the East we registered 65 per cent occupancy,” he added.

Cinepolis expects the occupancy rate to go up to 80 per cent in the East and 90 per cent across the country.

In metros and other top cities, Bahubali-2 is being beamed on virtually all the screens available.

The producers have asked fans to alert them to any instances of piracy.

The response in Tamil Nadu has also been overwhelming. A spokesperson of SPI Cinemas, which runs the Satyam chain of theatres, said, “Day one collections of Bahubali-2 far exceeded those of the first part. We are running 83 shows,”

‘Pokemon Go’ craze leads to spate of accidents, traffic offenses across world

Nearly three weeks after it swept the US by storm, Pokémon GO finally launched in its home country of Japan today. To anticipate the arrival of the game that has already caused a bunch of accidents worldwide due to it requiring players to walk around the streets while staring at a smartphone, the cybersecurity agency of Japan, on behalf of the government, released a safety guide in the form of a manga yesterday.

It wasn’t enough, however, as the first accident has already been reported — just a couple hours after the game became available in the land of the rising sun.

According to the tweets and a Japanese report, a student at Kindai University in Osaka fell down the stairs while chasing a Pokémon, resulting in a “face covered with blood.”

A man was tragically killed in a wrong way crash near Knoxville, but police say there's no indication Pokemon Go was involved in the accident.

“Pokemon Go” is an augmented-reality game in which users visit real-life locations in search of virtual creatures that appear superimposed on smartphone screens.

Among the incidents, a 27-year-old man from Chiba Prefecture was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in her 20s who was playing “Pokemon Go” near JR Shibuya Station in Tokyo, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The man was arrested Saturday night at the scene after he grabbed the woman’s arm in the mistaken belief he had been photographed when she took a picture of a rare game character, and demanded that she delete the image, the police said Monday.

In Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, on Monday morning, a 21-year-old company worker drove into a line of cars waiting at a red light while he was playing the game. The driver of one of the other cars may have sustained minor neck injuries.

“I was focused on the game and did not notice the car in front of me,” the man was quoted as telling the police.

In Sapporo, an elementary school student who was playing the game while cycling crashed into another bicycle Sunday morning, the police said. The student suffered minor injuries.

A 22-year-old university student in Nagoya reported her bag was stolen from the basket of her bicycle by a man on a motor scooter Sunday afternoon while she was playing the game.

“I was so wrapped up in the game I didn’t notice the motor scooter coming,” she was quoted by the police as saying.

In Tochigi Prefecture, a 20-year-old student from Utsunomiya who was playing the game while driving her car collided with a vehicle that was stopped at a red light at around 9 p.m. Saturday in the city of Mooka. No one was injured.

Also in Tochigi, an accident occurred in the town of Mibu where a 45-year-old woman playing the game fell off her bicycle after bumping into a flight of steps in a park. She sustained a minor head injury.

On Sunday, a 24-year-old Brazilian man was found wandering on an expressway in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, searching for game characters and was cautioned by police. The man had earlier attended a barbecue with others at a nearby river and was not familiar with the local area, according to the police.

The police have been issuing traffic tickets to people caught playing the game while driving, a violation of the traffic law.

Using a smartphone or similar device while driving is subject to a fine of ¥5,000 for motorbikes, ¥6,000 for standard vehicles and ¥7,000 for large vehicles.

All of the drivers ticketed for violation of the law were either caught playing or admitted to having been playing the game while driving.

Meanwhile, in Hokkaido, a university student encountered a wild animal while he was playing the game Friday night...see more "‘Pokemon Go’ craze leads to spate of accidents, traffic offenses across world"
